In August 2020, Juliette travels to Myanmar to join her partner. There she meets Zu Zu, a seventeen-year-old girl running a food stall by the roadside. Zu Zu is waiting for the universities closed because of Covid to reopen so that she can fulfil her dream of becoming a policewoman. Gradually, a strong relationship develops between the two young women. On the 1st of February 2021, the country suffers a military coup, jeopardizing Zu Zu's ambitions and trapping Juliette in Myanmar. Their profound attachment to each other becomes their refuge.
